Philip Murray is the Carter-Riverside Pyramid Boys' Athletic Coordinator and Carter-Riverside Head Football Coach. 2022 will be his 3rd year at Carter-Riverside and his 15th year in a coaching career spanning both high school and college levels. Coach Murray is excited to continue to develop the young men of the Riverside community into better students, brothers and sons. His programs are built on developing self-responsibility through the pillars of hard work, discipline and high expectations. Coach Murray has been named a Dave Campbell's Texas High School Coach of the Week, a Nike Coach of the Year speaker, and a Fort Worth Star-Telegram Coach of the Week.
Coach Murray grew up in the DFW metroplex. Upon graduating high school he attended Columbia University in New York City, graduating Bachelor of Arts in History. While at Columbia he was an All-Ivy selection 3 ties and set the school record for interceptions in a career(16). He has been married to his wife, Alison, for 16 years and they have twin daughters, Evie Lin and Josie Mei.
